Rivieras and Sheratons may sound very similar but a Casino has a different tone. That changes the tone drastically, and that's the reason why they do not sound alike. Casinos have a hollow body while Rivieras have a semi-hollow body which means that they have a piece of wood inside, where the pickups are placed.
